SEC, Oando Face-off: Wale Tinubu Says Looking Forward To New Life In Music

The embattled Group Chief Executive of Oando Plc Wale Tinubu has veered into music career as a fall back position.
In a tweet to celebrate his birthday on Thursday, Tinubu said he was eternally grateful to Allah for his birthday.
"+1 today. Eternally grateful to Allah and looking forward to my new life in music," the billionaire businessman wrote in the tweet on his verified Tweeter account. He hash tagged the post #WaleTinubuTheGuitarist #JATRecords
Wale Tinubu is currently in court challenging the decision of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to remove him and his deputy from the energy company.
The capital market regulator had in May announced the result of its investigations into the operations of Oando and said both Tinubu and Omomofe Boyo, his deputy were found culpable of infractions in the operations of the energy firm.
SEC had ordered the resignation of the two key officials of the energy company and appointed an interim management team to supervise the setting up of a new management for Oando and hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM).
However, Oando and Tinubu have filed a case in court to nullify the decision of the market regulator, saying SEC failed the test of fair hearing.
